Behind the Scenes
My idea for this film came from my love of romance novels and illustrating cozy environments. I thought it would be fun to illustrate and create a small bookstore that I would personally like to visit!

Layouts
My favorite part of working on this production was the layouts. While I initially ran into a roadblock with my lineart-based sketches since I wanted a no-lineart type of art style, I eventually switched to value-based sketches to build my backgrounds. Choosing the colors and textures to add to my layouts was probably the best part of this production for me!
Character Turnarounds
Since I had only done hand-drawn animation a few times before embarking on this project, it was important to me to have straightforward character designs so I did not spend too much time illustrating fine details from the characters' designs. Despite that, I was still able to enjoy the design process!
